Subject: Glasses Ministry Camp!
Date: May 15, 2013 10:26 AM

Greetings to in the Mighty name of our King, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Thank you so much for your heart that yearns to know more about the Glasses Ministry camp. Even as we are preparing ourselves to hold a Glasses Ministry a fresh after the one that was to be held on May 8th, 2013 was postponed… all our credit goes to Dr Holly and the entire family of Team Kenya who are mostly dedicated to providing the adoption and growth of high definition of God’s Love image by building a community of providers through shared knowledge, experience, and education … through which Christ’s Great Commission of ….
(1) – Making Disciples
(2) – Teaching them (disciples) to observe the Love and Commandment of God and
(3) – Releasing those disciples for the work of ministry is being fulfilled.
Hallelujah! …..is being fulfilled.

“A Glasses Ministry Camp With Vision.” The theme of the glasses ministry camp that was to be held on May 8th was, “Sponsor the camp and be a hero in someone’s eye.” Pray to God for his providence for right now as I am writing 125 out of 200 participants (people with eye-problem) have already booked.

To shorten the story, this was what happened to me on that particular day. A man who introduced himself as Josphat came to my house led by a young boy; he asked weather he had arrived in Dr Wycliffe’s House.
I answered him. Yes! You have, in fact speaking to you is the one. Can I help you?
Of cause he answered.
What is your wish? I asked him.
I wish that I can regain my sight so that I can see you. Replied Josphat.

My dearest friend Dr Holly, it really touched me. It moved me almost to tears. I thought to myself, “Oh, surely, this one needs sacrificial leadership. Jesus! Jesus!! Jesus!!! Help me. Strengthen my faith and let your love be mine. I appreciate that we appear tall today because we are standing on the shoulders of the Giant of giants, King of kings, and Lord of lords our Savior Jesus Christ, who, in His prime, achieved His best for us (His Body – the church). By acting in opposition to the impulse of His passion, shirking self comfort He went miles to put the world (us/you /I) sinners first even to the way of the cross.

His servant –leadership was beyond measure, a true testament to these words of civil rights activist Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he/she stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he/she stands in times of challenge and controversy.” “To fulfill what our Lord Jesus said in the book of St John 9:1-7, those who fall should be lifted up and those who stay behind should be held by hands.” We therefore must keep on moving, like American musician Aliyah Aptly puts it. “Keep on keeping on” we are on the mountain and Canaan is visible. Yea! Our
work is not in vain. Our re-warder is in heaven… in due time he will reward us if we do not faint in spreading his love to the hurting world. What He requires from us is sacrificial leadership.

Back to business! What you asked of me was quiet reasonable. It was right from the heart of God. For sure, by sharing dreams and visions can make us enlighten one another and motivate us to hold on to ours… through which I feel the need for a united body of Christ which is full of inspiration and vision for reaching out to the world of people with poor vision like Josephat, will be released. For your information, the Glasses Ministry camp will be all about offering free: (a) Eye screening, (b) Glasses making and distributing, (c) and teaching the participants on the importance of going for early diagnosis through which the following eye-problems can be resolved among others:- (1) - Squint: Which is a leading cause of short or long–sightless, weakness of muscles that moves the eye, and poor coordination of eye movement from the brain.’ (2) – Glaucoma: This is a leading cause of irreversible blindness. Tests will involve analysis of intracellular (eye) pressure, optic nerve and a detailed examination of the visual field. Our high expectations are that the end of the camp, we would have to discover why or how “the silent thief of sight” always sneaks in and do some damage to the eye (s).

PRAYER REQUEST. Pray that the lord will provide the following for the success of glasses ministry camp for his own glory as it is written in (John 9:1-7). We will host 200 participants and four (4) facilitators. They be coming from as far as between 35 – 80 kilometers away from Kitale Town. Facilitators will be as follows: (a). An Optician (b). an Ophthalmologist (c). An Glaucoma specialist. (d). Spiritual leader will be sharing on spiritual blindness and drought of spiritual nutrition.
Our prayer, is, we will like to ensure that participants get the best out of the Glasses Ministry camp. Please help us rescue the boat. Help us fulfill our vision of making “A region free of avoidable blindness and our mission “To eliminate avoidable blindness in the region through provision of quality, accessible and affordable eye-care service to all deserving human kind. Pray for God’s providence in this matter, but if the Lord put it on your heart to donate towards it, your support will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for loving to be able to share what we are doing on your website. Thanks to be the best friend in the world of the people with poor vision. Your comments,
suggestions and questions at anytime are most welcome.

Thank you so very for your time, for your prayers, and for your support. Thanks once more for having us in your hearts and plans.

Sincerely Wyclife.
